At this meeting we be discussing the absolutely bizarre position taken by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept. that Departmental Memorandum #06-053 issued on May 1, 2006 was just a draft and was never finalized. Memorandum #06-053 specifically instructs police officers that if they come upon a medical marijuana patient and if they have the state issued ID card and the quantity of marijuana in their possession.
